For more than a decade, David has helped build Aspen Compassion into one of Colorado’s most trusted relationship-centered care organizations, while Amanda has earned the trust of families throughout the Vail Valley through her compassionate leadership and dedication to exceptional care.
Together, they recognized an opportunity to bring a higher standard of personalized, relationship-centered support to the Eagle River Valley. By combining Aspen Compassion’s proven philosophy with Amanda’s local leadership and community relationships, Vail Compassion was created to help older adults remain safe, independent, and fully engaged in the lives they love.

Founder, Aspen Compassion | Co-Founder, Vail CompassionDavid Freeman’s passion for caregiving began with his great-grandmother, Josephine, inspiring a lifelong commitment to helping older adults remain connected, independent, and engaged in the lives they love. After founding Aspen Compassion and spending more than a decade building one of the Roaring Fork Valley’s most trusted relationship-centered care organizations, David partnered with Amanda Canete to bring that same philosophy of personalized, concierge-level support to the Eagle River Valley through Vail Compassion.
Amanda Canete
Amanda Canete has dedicated her career to supporting older adults and their families with compassion, professionalism, and genuine human connection. Through years of serving the Eagle River Valley, she built a reputation for thoughtful leadership and exceptional care. Today, Amanda leads Vail Compassion’s local team, combining her deep understanding of the community with the proven relationship-centered philosophy of Aspen Compassion to deliver personalized support that helps people continue living safely, independently, and fully engaged at home.
